Aqua will begin working on making repairs to the Candlelight Hills Waste Water Treatment plant located south at the end-point of Candlechase Drive. They are going to correct issues with the existing discharge point. The goal is to relocate, construct and stabilize a new discharge location. During this process, they are going to add a permanent 240-linear feet wall that will be 12 to 14 inches think and will vary between 15 to 20 feet in depth. This will help with the massive erosion that happens after a large storm system such as hurricane Harvey, tropical storm Imelda and so on. This project is expected to take anywhere between 200-300 days, depending on weather.
1. Many of you may have wondered at some point or another, why are the fire hydrants painted black? This is because House Bill 1717 states that if a fire hydrant doesn't provide an adequate flow of water of at least 250 gallons per minute, it must be painted black.
2. When Aqua Texas fixes the Candlelight Hills Waste Water Treatment plant, will the fire hydrants work?
Probably not, the Texas Public Utilities Commission has not granted Aqua Texas - Fire Water Service Provider status so fixing our water plant may not affect the hydrants.
3. What happens in case of a fire in our subdivision?
Based on a conversation with the Ponderosa and Spring Fire Chiefs in 2019, the fire department can connect to the hydrant to draw water from to extinguish any fire. It was also mentioned that the new trucks can carry enough water to extinguish a house fire so they don't need the hydrants.
Cotton-white posies adorn the front of this stately home, while lush green trees add a pop against the brick color.
Simple and clean is what stays out... and the massive mowed lawn is green and healthy looking.
This is one complaint the HOA hears about a lot. Often, the problem is that trash cans and recycle bins don't get put away. Garbage-bin lined streets is not part of the overall image we want to give those who visit our neighborhood. When bins are left out, they can also invite all sorts of creatures who like to rummage through it. In the end, let's take in our bins every Wednesday and Saturday evening, its the neighborly thing to do.
Its that time of the year when these pesky, disease-carrying pests make a living by sucking the blood out of just about anything that moves, including us. To help matters, we have contracted with a pest control company to drive around the neighborhood to deliver much needed relief.
